During this webinar, an overview of Wisconsin’s opioid statistics will be shared to demonstrate the impact this epidemic is having in our communities. In addition, presenters will share tips on how to recognize signs of possible prescription misuse or diversion as well as outline specific strategies you can take to promote medication safe storage and disposal.

Teressa Pellett, BS, HDFS, Project Coordinator, Stoughton Wellness Coalition


Teressa Pellett has been the Project Coordinator for the Stoughton Wellness Coalition since 2015, under both Drug Free Communities Mentoring and Implementation Grants. Teressa has a background in community development and organizational planning processes that promote community health and well-being outcomes within the prevention field.


Sarah Johnson, BA, LPS, Health Education Specialist, Public Health Madison & Dane County

Sarah is a licensed Prevention Specialist working in the Policy, Planning, and Evaluation Division of Public Health Madison & Dane County. Sarah’s work, over the last decade, in the field of substance abuse prevention and drug harm reduction spans from direct services to young people and their families to serving as the Director of a licensed prevention agency. Her current work is a balance of providing technical assistance to community coalitions and leading drug harm reduction efforts.
